About this trial
This trial looks at collecting samples from patients with malignant mesothelioma and other cancers that express a protein called mesothelin. The goal is to understand these cancers better and to explore possible treatments. Malignant mesothelioma is a type of cancer that affects the lining of the lungs and abdomen. It is important to gather information about how these cancers progress and the treatments patients receive.
The trial's ID number is NCT01950572. This is an observational study, which means it's looking at how well treatments work in real life. It is not regulated by the FDA as a drug or device. The trial hopes to include about 1,000 participants.
Who can join
People aged 2 years and older with malignant mesothelioma can join. Adults aged 18 and older with certain other cancers can also participate. Participants must be able to give consent, or have a parent or guardian who can consent for them if they are under 18. The trial team will confirm who is eligible to participate.
Conditions

The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Participants will provide blood, urine, and tumor samples for research. They will be monitored to see how their cancer progresses and what treatments they receive. Everyone who joins has a cancer diagnosis that expresses mesothelin.
