About this trial
This trial looks at how often people develop colorectal cancer. It focuses on people who have 1 to 2 non-advanced adenomas, which are small growths in the colon. Participants will be randomly assigned to have colonoscopies either every 5 years or every 10 years to see which schedule is better for reducing cancer risk.
The trial's ID number is NCT05080673. It is not a drug or device trial and plans to include about 9,500 participants.
Who can join
Adults aged 45 to 70 can join the trial if they have had a first-time diagnosis of 1-2 non-advanced adenomas. Participants should not have a history of colorectal cancer or advanced adenomas. The trial team will confirm who is eligible.

What happens in the study
Participants will be divided into two groups by chance. One group will have colonoscopies every 5 years, while the other group will have them every 10 years. All participants will follow standard preparation instructions for the colonoscopy.
