Supporting Better Radiation Treatment for Brain Metastases with Nanoparticles
NCT04899908 · RecruitingThis study looks at whether AGuIX gadolinium-based nanoparticles can help make radiation treatment work better for patients with brain metastases. These metastases are cancer cells that have spread to the brain from other parts of the body. The main goal is to see if adding these nanoparticles improves treatment outcomes compared to radiation alone.

Who can join
Adults aged 18 and older can join this study. Participants must have a solid cancer that has spread to the brain. They should have at least one measurable brain tumor. Certain medical conditions and previous treatments may affect eligibility. The trial team will confirm who can participate.
What happens during the trial
Participants will be randomly placed into one of two groups. One group will receive radiation therapy along with the AGuIX nanoparticles. The other group will receive radiation therapy plus a placebo, which looks like the treatment but has no active medicine. Everyone will undergo screening and follow-up visits as part of the study.
