This trial studies how well a medicine called XL092 works for patients with certain types of advanced thyroid cancer. This includes cancer that has not responded to radioiodine treatment and has spread to nearby tissues or other parts of the body. The main goal is to see how effective XL092 is in managing the disease and helping patients live without progression for a year.

What happens in the study
Participants will take XL092 by mouth every day for 21 days in cycles. They will have imaging tests like CT scans or MRIs and will also provide blood and urine samples during the study. Everyone in this trial will receive the XL092 treatment.
