Dr. Andrea V. Barrio, MD, FACS, is a breast surgical oncologist who specializes exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases, with expertise spanning all aspects of breast cancer surgery as well as the management of benign breast conditions. She sees patients at MSK Westchester, where she works closely within a multidisciplinary team that includes colleagues in radiology, pathology, plastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care. Her approach to each patient is highly individualized, with treatment plans tailored to the specific person and circumstances, and a consistent emphasis on ensuring patients leave every appointment with a clear understanding of their diagnosis and care recommendations.
