Dr. Balazs Halmos

Dr. Balazs Halmos, MD, is a top medical oncologist at Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center, renowned for his expertise in thoracic cancers, particularly mesothelioma, lung cancer, and thymic malignancies. He obtained his medical degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest and completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Montefiore Einstein. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, he holds a faculty appointment and sees patients at the Moses Campus in the Bronx, offering in-person and telehealth consultations. With a decade of specialized care in thoracic oncology, Dr. Halmos provides advanced diagnostic and treatment services tailored to each patient's needs.

He is widely recognized for his clinical research focused on novel treatments and therapeutic strategies for thoracic malignancies.
