Dr. James T. Thigpen, MD, is a nationally respected medical oncologist known for his expertise in gynecologic malignancies, particularly ovarian cancer. He serves as Professor Emeritus of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he has had a long and distinguished career in clinical research and patient care. Dr. Thigpen earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, followed by residency training in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology/oncology. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
