Dr. Anup Kasi

Dr. Anup K. Kasi, MD, MPH, is a gastrointestinal medical oncologist and clinical researcher with expertise in pancreatic and colorectal cancers. He is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a physician at The University of Kansas Cancer Center, where he serves as Vice Chair for the GI Disease Working Group and Medical Director of the Solid Tumor Molecular Tumor Board. Dr. Kasi earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India, followed by a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, where he conducted research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in hematology/oncology and gastrointestinal medical oncology at the University of Kansas.

Dr. Kasi leads a robust portfolio of clinical trials investigating novel therapies for gastrointestinal malignancies, including immunotherapies and targeted agents for KRAS-mutant cancers. His work focuses on integrating molecular profiling into clinical decision-making to optimize personalized care. He has contributed extensively to the scientific literature and to educational resources, authoring numerous peer-reviewed articles and oncology reference materials.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Kasi mentors fellows and residents in oncology research and clinical care. He is an active member of ASCO and other professional societies, where he contributes to guideline development and educational initiatives. Through his leadership in clinical research, his focus on precision oncology, and his commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Anup K. Kasi continues to advance the field of gastrointestinal oncology.
