Dr. Lisle Nabell

Dr. Lisle Nabell, MD, is a respected medical oncologist specializing in gynecologic cancers, with expertise in ovarian, cervical, and endometrial malignancies. She serves as Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and is an active member of the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Nabell earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in hematology and oncology. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and is recognized for her dedication to advancing gynecologic oncology through both patient care and clinical research.

Her research interests center on therapeutic strategies for advanced and recurrent gynecologic cancers, with participation in cooperative group clinical trials that have expanded treatment options for women with ovarian and other gynecologic malignancies. She has contributed to studies exploring chemotherapy combinations, targeted therapy, and novel agents aimed at improving survival outcomes and quality of life.
