Dr. William G. Nelson, MD, PhD, is a nationally recognized medical oncologist and cancer researcher specializing in prostate cancer and cancer prevention. He serves as Director of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins and is the Marion I. Knott Professor of Oncology. Dr. Nelson earned his medical degree and PhD in pharmacology from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in medical oncology. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is widely regarded for his leadership in translational research and cancer prevention.
