Targeting New MRI Techniques to Improve Head and Neck Cancer Treatment

MRI uses magnets and radio waves to take detailed pictures of the body. The goal is to see if these new techniques can show how well a treatment is working by measuring water movement in tumors.

Who can join
Adults aged 18 and older can join. This includes men and women with suspicious lesions or confirmed head and neck cancer. Some people cannot join, like those who need anesthesia, are claustrophobic, or have certain medical devices. The trial team will confirm who can participate.
What happens during the trial
Participants will have MRI scans using advanced machines before and during treatment. There are two groups: one for patients with recurrent or metastatic cancer and another for those with thyroid cancer. Patients getting radiation will have weekly scans. The goal is to gather information from these scans to understand how well treatments are working.
