Dr. Anita Kumar

Dr. Anita Kumar, MD, is a medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center whose practice is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma. She specializes in both Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with a focused research interest in mantle cell lymphoma. Working closely within a multidisciplinary team of lymphoma experts drawn from many different departments, Dr. Kumar is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care to each of her patients, developing treatment plans that align with individual diagnoses, circumstances, and personal goals.

Dr. Kumar is actively involved in clinical trials research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. As a principal investigator, she leads trials incorporating novel biologically targeted therapies, including ibrutinib (Imbruvica), brentuximab vedotin (Adcetris), lenalidomide (Revlimid), and venetoclax (Venclexta).
