Dr. Fadi Braiteh, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in gastrointestinal malignancies, thoracic cancers, and early-phase clinical trials. He currently serves as Director of the Translational Oncology Program and heads the GI Malignancies, Phase I, and Immunotherapy Program at the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. Dr. Braiteh earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa. He subsequently trained in hematology/oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he also completed an advanced fellowship in investigational cancer therapeutics. He is recognized for his expertise in precision medicine and novel drug development.
Dr. Braiteh’s clinical research focuses on targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and biomarker-driven treatment approaches across a range of solid tumors. He has been a principal investigator or co-investigator in numerous pivotal trials that have led to FDA approvals of new cancer therapies. His translational work bridges laboratory science and clinical application, particularly in integrating molecular profiling into routine oncology practice to guide individualized treatment. He has contributed significantly to understanding mechanisms of resistance and exploring combination strategies to enhance therapeutic benefit.
Beyond his research and clinical leadership, Dr. Braiteh is a dedicated educator and mentor, training oncology fellows and engaging in community outreach to improve cancer awareness and prevention. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and frequently lectures at national and international conferences.
