Dr. Leslie R. Boyd, MD, is a nationally respected gynecologic oncologist recognized for her leadership in women’s cancer care and her mastery of minimally invasive surgical techniques. She serves as Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at NYU Langone Health’s Perlmutter Cancer Center and holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Boyd earned her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at NYU Langone. Board-certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, she offers advanced, individualized care for patients with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and other gynecologic malignancies.
A pioneer in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Boyd is known for developing personalized surgical plans that prioritize optimal oncologic outcomes while preserving quality of life. She directs the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program at NYU Langone, where she plays a pivotal role in training future leaders in the field. She also chairs the Physician Payment Reform Task Force for the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and serves in leadership roles in national organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
