Dr. Steven N. Hochwald

Dr. Steven Hochwald, MD, FACS, is a widely respected surgical oncologist specializing in complex gastrointestinal cancers, including stomach, pancreas, liver, and colorectal malignancies.. He serves as Chief of the Gastrointestinal/Soft Tissue Surgery Division and Vice Chair of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Dr. Hochwald earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Southern California, and pursued fellowship training in surgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is board-certified in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Hochwald is known for his expertise in complex abdominal cancer surgeries and minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures.
