Dr. Sanjay Goel, MD, is a respected medical oncologist and translational researcher specializing in gastrointestinal malignancies. He serves as Director of Gastrointestinal Cancer Translational Research at Montefiore Medical Center and is Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Goel earned his medical degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and fellowship in Medical Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is known for his leadership in early-phase clinical trials and pharmacogenomics.
Dr. Goel’s research focuses on developing biomarker-driven therapies and novel drug combinations for colorectal and hepatobiliary cancers. He has led numerous investigator-initiated trials and has been at the forefront of integrating pharmacogenomics into gastrointestinal oncology.
