Dr. Randall F. Holcombe, MD, MBA, is a nationally recognized medical oncologist and health services leader specializing in gastrointestinal cancers. He serves as Director of the University of Vermont Cancer Center and has held prior leadership positions at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center. Dr. Holcombe earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, completed his residency training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is respected for his leadership in academic oncology.
Dr. Holcombe’s research focuses on colorectal and gastrointestinal cancers, with contributions to translational research, clinical trials, and health services delivery. He has been a principal investigator on studies evaluating novel systemic therapies and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
